FLINT — A Flint native is using his connections to help rally celebrities to help with the water crisis.
Dallas Martin, Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records is reaching out to some big names to get support.
He says donations are still being secured, but right now Big Sean and Rihanna have donated.
He also says one of his artists has teamed up with Will Smith to donate about $90,000 worth of water.
Martin said, “It’s a bigger problem that just the water right now it’s like how are we going to get the pipes restructured and figure out and figure out to like really help with that and that’s something that we really want to get involved with and try to help donate and figure out the kind of funds that is needed.”
Martin says his artist Meek Mill has already donated thousands of bottles of water and according to TMZ he is donating additional money to Flint’s Child Health and Development Fund.
Big Sean has launched the #HealFlintKids fundraiser, anyone who donates at least $10 will be entered into a contest with a chance to win VIP tickets to a Big Sean concert in 2016.
