This Flint Vehicle City Hoodie is inspired by the sign that archs above Saginaw St. in downtown Flint, MI.
Flint was Founded as a village by fur trader Jacob Smith in 1819, Flint became a major lumbering area on the historic Saginaw Trail during the 19th century, and incorporated as a city in 1855. This is what the 1855 represents on this piece. Flint later became a leading manufacturer of carriages and other vehicles earning it the nickname “Vehicle City”.
When we say respect Flint its for a couple of reasons. 1 its to let people from and in other areas to know what city we are repping and to respect us, our talent and our voices.
Another meaning of this design is for the people of Flint to respect your own city. Times are rough as is and no one seems to care. It is up to the people to uphold the respect for the city. Work hard, Grind, stop the senseless violence and help each other, like no one else will.
